In 2022, 45 companies in Bangladesh have improved capacities to implement gender equality in the workplace, marketplace, and community after receiving capacity-building support from UN Women. Out of these, 16 companies showed strengthened commitments towards gender equality, having adopted the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). This in turn has benefited nearly 1,400 women employees.
For this activities, the office developed a poster on "What are different types of workplace harassment (In Bengali)" - together with the Women's Empowerment for Inclusive Growth (WING) Joint Programme in Bangladesh with support from the Government of the Netherlands. The posters are currently being distributed phase by phase at 5 sub-districts of Bangladesh, as of November 2022.
