Unpaid Care Work: Policy Brief

This Policy Brief provides insight into to the importance of addressing issues of gender equality and unpaid care work in national development policies and strategies. It targets the United Nations and its national counterparts (e.g.,national, regional and local governments and parliaments, academia, media, civil society and the private sector). This Policy Brief can be used to stimulate discussions at the country level with a view towards developing locally adapted gender equality and unpaid care work initiatives, and, as an advocacy tool with a view towards increasing awareness of gender equality and unpaid care work from the local to the international levels.
