On 2 December 2020, the WE EMPOWER - G7 Programme hosted "#WeLearn: Is Entrepreneurship for You?" learning session.
The participants learned about:
- The skills that would serve women well if they were interested in entrepreneurship activity
- The types of pitching
- The entrepreneur’s greatest quality
- How to find investors.

THE EVENT
Last week, the global community celebrated the Global Entrepreneurship Week – the week when the entire ecosystem of entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policy makers and advocates come together to celebrate women’s entrepreneurship. According to the to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, approximately 252 million women around the world are entrepreneurs and another 153 million women are operating established businesses.
Women and specifically young women need to learn what does mean to have your own entrepreneurial experience, how to manage it, how many changes are there.
The learning session Is Entrepreneurship for You? will look at skills that would serve women well if they were interested in entrepreneurship activity. Learners will understand what the two types of pitching are, what is the entrepreneur’s greatest quality and how to find investors.

TRAINER
Shefali Bhatnagar is the YouTube for Action Lead at Google Germany, working with advertisers to get great business results with YouTube. She has worked with Google for 6 years across many countries specializing in Performance Marketing. Shefali began her career as an Electrical Engineer and holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur.

The WE EMPOWER G7 Programme convene multistakeholder dialogues in the EU, Canada, Japan and the US to exchange knowledge, experiences, good practices and lessons learned in the context of the changing world of work.
BACKGROUND
WE EMPOWER - G7 Programme brings to its stakeholders and friends a series of learning sessions to help them learn new skills that is amongst the top requirements on today job market. By learning these skills and their application, they will get more confident in their ability to participate in interviews, new job search, progress in career.
