After receiving more than 700 applications from 20 Asia-Pacific countries and holding National WEPs Awards Ceremonies in seven countries, the 2021 WEPs Awards Regional Ceremony will be the final culminating event to unveil the region’s top private sector champions for gender equality.
The Asia-Pacific WEPs Awards is organized by WeEmpowerAsia, a UN Women programme funded by and in partnership with the European Union that seeks to enhance gender-inclusive business cultures and create more inclusive and equitable economies in Asia-Pacific and Europe. We are thrilled that this year’s awards are also supported by Investing in Women (IW), an initiative of the Australian Government supporting gender equality and women’s economic empowerment in Southeast Asia.
