Innovation sits at the heart of what we do at Zomato. To continue to build and innovate, we depend on a cognitively diverse workforce and culture that gives everyone an equal seat at the table. Gender diversity, one of our key diversity tracks, aims to ensure more women are at the table - shaping the future of every business that we are in today and ideating for those that we will be in tomorrow. Our commitment to gender diversity starts from the top of our organisation. Our board of directors is 57% female. In 2019, we introduced an equal Parental Leave policy, offering 26 weeks paid leave to birthing and non-birthing parents, irrespective of their gender, including same-sex parents as well as parents via surrogacy and adoption. We have an ERG for mothers, invest in coaching for returning mothers, and conduct targeted recruiting events such as our recent Women and Trans only hackathon. We've extended our diversity ambitions to our value chain. We've created a female delivery partner onboarding programme, with ~2,000 inspiring women leveraging our platform to participate in and earn from last mile deliveries. We are also members of women focused sourcing platforms such as WeConnect International. Feeding India, our wider, community-oriented collaboration, helps address inter alia the nutrition and upskilling needs of marginalised women, through its daily feeding programme. Despite these progressive measures, we're acutely aware that it will take years of trial and error to get anywhere close to the goals we've set for ourselves on this track. As a mark of our commitment and determination to succeed, we've decided to align our agenda with Women’s Empowerment Principles. We intend to use the seven principles, based on a collective global understanding of what works, to guide and inform our diversity practices, programmes and policies.
