In Myanmar, the dramatically increased number of small businesses owned by women was started out of either Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 or the Military coup d’état in 2021. Women-led small businesses were born out of necessity however, they face immediate challenges including access to knowledge, networks, finances, and gender-based constraints. We believe supporting women-led businesses will contribute to economic recovery, creating jobs and incomes. We support women entrepreneurs not only to start businesses but to sustain businesses in the long run. We empower women to be successful in business as well as to become the leaders of social change, create a more equitable, inclusive organization in the face of crisis, and move towards a more prosperous and gender-equal Myanmar.
