At Schroders, we have made significant progress in increasing female representation within senior management from 25% in 2015 to 33% in 2020, however there is still a long way to go in achieving true gender equality. It is crucial that we collaborate across the industry and society to encourage further commitment to change and becoming a visible supporter of the Women’s Empowerment Principles is one of the many steps that we’re taking. The Principles highlight the need for gender equality not just in the workplace, but also education and training, supply chain development, and community advocacy. It is more important than ever that we strengthen our approach on creating an inclusive environment and ensuring our people gain a sense of belonging at Schroders.
