Romanian Association of Banks

Florin Dănescu (M)

Executive President

The Romanian Association of Banks (RAB) is the strongest professional associations representing the banking market of Romania. With a tradition of over 30 years, the Romanian Association of Banks has firmly committed to playing an active role in promoting an open and constructive dialogue with all institutional decisionmakers and with the business environment when representing its members’ interests, and developing the most sustainable approaches to the public policies impacting the financial and banking sector - and, in the end, Romania’s economy and the Romanians’ welfare. In this context, we consider our responsibility to foster business practices that would assure gender equality and empower women. By joining the Women’s Empowerment Principles community, we want to send a clear message of commitment for this endeavour and encourage our stakeholders to keep in mind during their actions that an equal treatment of women and men is the right thing to do, since such an approach positively impacts their activity and the economy in general.
