CEO

We at PepsiCo are firm believers in the indispensable role and power of women not just in the workforce, but in society as a whole. We always strive to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive ecosystem within our workplace that encourages all talents to thrive and reach their full potential. And at PepsiCo Egypt, we have been committed for many years to empowering women across all governorates and communities to improve their livelihoods as well as fight any socio-economic inequalities and gender biases in Egypt. For example, as part of our Pep + Strategy, we launched the She Feeds the World program, aiming to empower more than 10,000 women in rural areas and boost their income and productivity, while endorsing many of them into our very own PepsiCo supply chain. On another note, we have also launched She Works Wonders in March 2022, aiming to put an end to occupational segregation in Egypt. This program targets female employability by boosting the skillset of 600 female graduates and equipping them with all they need to excel at any field they choose, especially male-dominated professions. Hence, in light of these efforts, I believe endorsing the Women Empowerment Principles, alongside our in-house Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda at PepsiCo is only going to push us forward and all our endeavors to supporting women across the nation and empower their presence in our business.
