Creativity and innovation are ultimately the result of looking at things from a fresh and different perspective. This is something that often requires a team of individuals offering something new to the group. This is how diversity, of gender, experience, knowledge, background or culture, play a major role in our industry. We’re already working hard at this, our policies for female employees being recognized as far back as 2011. Today, we’re close to gender parity at holding level (46%) and continue to monitor the pay gap closely, with a current pay index of 103. We’re already a signatory of the Middle East Inclusion and Diversity Council (MEID) charter for women in senior roles, members of the UN’s Unstereotype Alliance and part of the Internet Advertising Bureau’s DE&I taskforce. By signing up to the seven Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), we commit to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace and community. Enhancing our diversity, equitability and inclusion allows us to be the best we can be, which means we all benefit: employees, teams, agencies and clients. As communications specialists, it is our duty to spread awareness about what gender balance means for business and society.
