Nordex SE

José Luis Blanco (M)

CEO

In the past, both the wind industry, as well as we as the Nordex Group, have made insufficient efforts in driving the UN’s SDG 5 on gender quality. We have set ourselves the firm target to change that, but we are only at the beginning of our journey. We see diversity and inclusion as both valuable and a true opportunity, helping lead us to the best decisions for sustainable development, growth, and prosperity for our organization. We want to create a workplace rich in diversity and fluid in inclusion, where different people foster creativity and innovation. This includes developing equitable solutions for all employees, and empowering women is a crucial part of the process. The first steps have now been taken: Our D&I Council – a group of leaders, facilitated by our D&I Leads – is fostering organizational change that focuses on increasing gender equality by raising awareness and supporting fair decision finding, measures and processes in recruitment, development, promotion, and payment of women. We commit to this mindset in both our Diversity & Inclusion and Human Rights Policies and set gender equality targets across all levels of the Group.
