Johan bin Idris (M)
Managing Partner
Gender equality and women’s empowerment is steeped in our history. Back in 1924, our founding Partner’s action for inclusion, diversity and equity efforts helped a young lady called Ethel Watts to become the first woman to qualify as an accountant. This was a defining moment for KPMG which became embedded in our DNA towards more gender equality and women empowerment efforts. Adopting the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles will certainly help to solidify our commitment towards this agenda and strengthen our aspiration to be an employer of choice.
