Our commitment to gender equality and participation is evident by the fact that IOS is a woman-owned small business, also managed by women. The IOS chairperson, Chief Operating Officer and Vice Presidents for Business Development and Project Management are professional women with diverse backgrounds. In its international economic development work, we always address the most acute challenges of poverty alleviation, public sector reform and private sector development through a gender lens by collecting gender disaggregated data, considering the role of women in the formal and informal economy, generating meaningful impact, and fostering inclusive development. We signed onto the WEPs to learn from a network of like-minded organizations, exchange ideas and apply best practices to our development projects worldwide to help advance women’s empowerment.
