Gender equity in the United States is critical, and long overdue. Roughly 42% of businesses in the United States are started by women, employing over 9 million workers, and roughly 1.4 million business owners are LGBTQIA+. Yet, despite this huge, multi-trillion dollar contribution to our economy, women and LBGTQIA+ founded startups get less than half the funding as startups founded by men. This disparity is doing a huge disservice to our communities.
