Rose Mumbi Gichuhi (F)
Managing Director
My earliest role model of a working woman was my gran, after whom I am named. She was a teacher, a church deacon, a treasurer of the women's guild, a small scale dairy farmer and a small scale coffee farmer. Education for girls was not negotiable for her. She ensured that my mother got an education. My mum was a nurse for 50 years. And in turn, my mother ensured that I got an education, just as I am encouraging my daughter to ascend as far as she can go. Joining the WEPs is my way of paying it forward because I stand on the shoulders of great women who empowered me.
