At AIA NZ, we have a strong history of focussing on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I). We embrace a diverse range of people and perspectives to create a workplace where “you can be you”. Our DE&I vision is that our people, customers and community recognise us as a leader in this space, so while we may have achieved great progress and are proud to have launched initiatives such as Flexible Working, Gender Pay Gap reporting, Menopause Support, Gender Affirmation Guidelines, there is still more to be done. The work on gender equality is not finished, that’s why partnering with UN WEPs is so important, the journey requires constant focus. For AIA NZ, it’s about reflecting our community, having the right capability, being innovative through diversity of thinking and perspectives, and creating a workplace where our people thrive. At the end of the day, I believe our people must feel that they belong, can bring their unique selves to work, and be the best they can be each and every day.
